Business Proposals + Video = WIN
So I’m going to let you in on a little secret.
Video is an AWESOME tool to use in your quotes. We do it all the time. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Of course you think it’s awesome, because YOU SELL VIDEOS.” And you’re absolutely right. But it can be awesome for you to use as well.
We actually have a really cool interactive quoting system that allows us to use all types of video content in our quotes and proposals. It helps convey information in a much more dynamic way that clients see as incredibly innovative. We primarily use two different types of videos:
#1 – A Sales Solution Video
This is a basic overview of the product or service that we are quoting. This can be very helpful in trying to sell add-on services. It’s incredibly hard to sell something you can’t see. This helps clients visualize the product or service.
#2 – A Customer Testimonial or Reference Video
This is huge because typically it’s not uncommon to be asked for trade references. By having the videos, you have them ready to go without the client asking for them (which impresses said client) and you can continually reuse them without wearing-out your references from repeated phone calls or emails.
It helps if you have a dynamic quoting system that allows for an interactive user experience with your quote or proposal. We use a system called QuoteRoller that automatically creates an online version of the quote that can play back videos, show pictures, and exhibit several other types of content. It has a ton of bells and whistles that really give your company a leg up on the competition: like electronic signing, PDF downloads, analytics, templates, and more. There are a bunch of other systems out there like it, but it’s the one we use. Click this link to check out QuoteRoller for yourself and use your videos for your next quote or proposal. We love using our videos with this system, and we highly recommend it.
